BEAR *CAT FRIENDLY and FOSTER NEEDED*'s story
Hello!  I am Bear, a 6-7 year old mixed breed boy.  I have a jet black coat and the cutest wrinkles.  I am a calm, loving guy that has stolen many of the hearts of the volunteers at CCRC. This boy has been through a lot. He has lived with entropion in both eyes (eyelashes turned in, instead of out) but we have since had the surgery needed to give him relief and he is so much happier now! Unfortunately, Bear is also heartworm positive. We are currently looking for a calm house that he could couch surf in for a bit while he goes through the treatment. This includes just letting him chill and get belly rubs for another month. CCRC takes care of the rest. We pay all medical costs, supplies the food and supplies needed for Bear. In turn, he needs a calm and safe environment with lots of love. FYI- Bear has also lived with cats in the pass and calm dogs. If you are interested in fostering Bear, please go to our website and fill out an volunteer application requesting to foster Bear. Hope to hear from you soon!
We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to call (248)

or email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the

ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at , to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $200 for adults and $275 for puppies, which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.
