Africa Standard Schnauzer Senior Male in Clarkston, Michigan

My story
Please read full bio!

Meet Africa! He is a 9 year old (best guess) schnauzer mix. He is quiet old dude who would love a relaxing, child-free home to live out his golden years.  Africa is nervous of men and prefers females, so we feel it is best that he goes to a female only home (and no children).   He doesn’t have the best vision, so can be nervous of hands moving over him and prefers treats to be tossed on the ground and not handed to him.  He doesn’t want to be picked up and is a reserved little guy, but he will gladly come over for some head scratches.  He likes dogs, but is older so he doesn’t want to wrestle.  He also has met a cat and did great! He is feeling much better after 18 bad teeth were removed, a little fatty tumor was taken off, and his mats were shaved.   He has been quiet in his crate and keeps it clean. He is looking for patience, quiet, positivity, and love.

WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED

, so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com

with specific questions, you will want to complete the

ONLINE APPLICATION

ASAP

which can be found at ,

to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find

a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $200 for adults and $275 for puppies, which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Africa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
